When we first came up with Nosh, it was just a small dream of filling the gap for good dessert in the Nashville area. Sure, there were donut shops, ice cream parlors, and places to get bread, but we were looking for a true bakery with sky-high cakes, rich cheesecakes, huge cookies, etc.
We also wanted somewhere that emphasized unique flavors that were true to their Southern roots, and most importantly, were not too sweet.
Nosh started as just a few pop-ups around the city whenever there was an opportunity. We started selling custom cakes by word of mouth and very rapidly built a clientele and social media following. From farmers markets to galas to food festivals, we were everywhere getting our name out there.
Finally, we were presented an opportunity to have a permanent storefront space inside of the Market House of the Nashville Farmers' Market, and we gladly accepted. We opened this location May 11, 2024 and have been going ever since.
The future of Nosh is just beginning, and we hope to grow and bring more delicious dessert to the Nashville area in the coming years.
Born and raised in Memphis, London is a Tennessee native with a soft spot for Southern flavors. She quickly fell in love with baking at a young age and spent years in the kitchen with her parents learning new recipes and honing her skills.
During high school, she started an internship as a pastry assistant for a local country club. She then left for college at Johnson and Wales University to pursue an Associate's Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship. During this time, she also worked for various establishments, including Kiawah Island Golf Resort and the Masters Golf Tournament.
In addition to going to pastry school and working full time, London has been featured on the Disney+ competition "Foodtastic" and the FoodNetwork show "Elf on the Shelf: Sweet Showdown." During these shows, she was really able to let her love of whacky, sculpted cakes shine.
London currently resides in Nashville with her family, running the daily operations of Nosh, spending time with friends, and coming up with new recipes on the daily.
